Thought I would put a quick update up about the Distance swimmers and Triathletes at RallySport aquatics. I have been really impresses with these guys. They have accepted the challenges in front of them and put a great deal of trust in their coaches, myself and Jorge, to see what they get out of it.
Last night's main set...
3 times through
6 x 100 steady speed, 1st cycle on 1;10, second cycle on 1:15, third cycle on 1:20
4 x 50 all on 1:00 1st cycle descend to last one at pace, 2nd cylce descend to last 2 at pace, last cycle descend last three to pace. No breaks.
The guys were great...Jimmy, Kristen, Liam, Lance, Ben, Marshall, Michaela, Eric and Rin all stepped up and got at it knowing they had a meet tonight.
They did not disappoint tonight.
Kristen started it out by going 11:09, great swim by a former sprinter. Lance was with her at 11:10 and proved to everyone that he is a mid pack swimmer in an ITU race. Jimmy was awesome going 11;58, for a guy nicknames the Rock because of how bad of a swimmer he was, that's pretty good. In a week where all of them swam hard, including 7.5K last night, and rode the hardest trainer workout of the year.
Rin was solid with a 10:48. Liam was awesome...10:30 and only 6 seconds off the sectional cut. He was rock solid at 31. high's. Marshall was Marshall. Getting to be a stud in the distance events, he went his third Sectional cut of the season in 10:15. Eric and Michaela turned in great 200 Im's as well.
Nice job guys.
