What a Mess

The whole swim suit fiasco has become a mess. FINA is about 6-8 months too late with all of this. They were the ones that originally approved Blue Seventy and the rest of these wetsuits and now they are trying to pull it back....kinda.

We've got records sitting out there that some countries are claiming to recognize but that FINA will not. We have suits that may or may not be legal for this weekend's Grand Prix meet. It's time for FINA to actually make a stand....they need to start with Speedo.

The LZR has flotation, for years FINA said no flotation, now the flotation may not exceed 1 newton. They are still saying nothing allowed to help with support on the posture of the swimmer. There is a GIRDLE in the LZR for God's sake. Now, as all of these companies are producing a suit that can be purchased for 200-300 dollars (that is half of the cost of the LZR) they are saying that we must have 50% permeability on suits. Isn't it odd that the LZR's have panelling that makes, hmmm let's see, 50 % permeability.

The favoritism is shockingly obvious. I mean is ridiculous. All of us that know the sport at all see it and yet it seems no one is talking about that. It's almost as big of a conspiracy as the NBA trying to get the Lakers into the Finals. (Can Kobe GET anymore calls).

C'mon guys, call it what it is. You get wheelbarrows full of money from Speedo, just come clean.
