Workin Man's Wednesday Worlds

After a morning on the deck I headed over to ELKS for a little Workin Man's Worlds this morning. A good bit of the crew is out in Vegas, but there were still some big guns ready to lay it into me this morning.

Now I have to say that i take a little while to warm up. I, as of yet, have no perfected the Neal Henderson, Allen Krughoff roll up and kill it method of racing. So needless to say, the first of the goes this morning took me a bit by surprise. By the time i hit the first turn, i was in 8th and Mike and Ariel were gone. By about the 3rd lap I got going a bit and started closing the gap.

The second go was far better. i got on Mike's wheel and just stayed there. He was better in the turns, especially out, and i was better in the power sections. The second time through did include one of the best saves of my life though. Left foot in the pedal, ass behind the seat and right foot on the ground and I saved it. Am rather proud of myself.

As usual though, a great day. Tasting the lungs and feeling the burn. Saturday is the first Boulder series race. Opens again for me. Let's see what i got with a full field.
