I know, the summer crushed me and the blog suffered. That's ok, all kinds of great things happened....
I got married to the love of my life and one of the greatest people I have ever met. Breeze and I got married in august in MT and it was a perfect day. A ton of good friends and good times. We fished, we danced, we sold bars, it was a great week.
RACE and APEX had solid summers. National cuts, 3rd at sectionals, huge wins for the triathletes and the cyclists and movement forward for myself, Rob, Neal, Allen and all my fellow coaches.
I raced well on the road. Len says I have to accept my reality as a sprinter on the road and I may next season. It will be fun to have guys like Jeff and Carlos alongside. With Neal so busy in the Olympic year, i may have to try and take on Dan and the Mix 1 boys.
breeze bars keeps growing well and we had a big break last week. Not ready for the big public announcement yet, but we will be in the next week or so. Its pretty huge and could signal the start of the next chapter of this business. Hence, we have been making bars like crazy. When I say we, I mean it. Breeze, Arielle, me and some of the RACE kids are in the kitchen a lot. Stay tuned.
Finally, its September and September means cross. I agree with Pete Webber who says that you can't talk cross until Sept 1. It still seems early, but will Cross Vegas 10 days away, its time. Spencer Powlison, Scott Tietzel, Jesse Goodrich and I have formed Plains to Peaks racing. Four local guys having fun and racing cross together. Some great sponsors so far (Carroll, Specialized, Curve, mix 1, Breeze Bars, etc) and lots of good times ahead. Watch out for the boys this year. Spencer, Scott and Jesse have all had great road seasons and I'm looking forward to see what they do.
Fun will be had, stay tuned.
