RallySport Aquatics is coming off the first meet of the year this weekend in Loveland, CO. As usual the Rally swimmers were up to the task. We peppered the meet with great swims, from Rikk Shimizu making his first sectional cut after only two months with the team (2;01.79) to Anna Labozan going under 2 minutes for the first time in the 200 Free. Across the board the kids were great. They pulled for each other, they had fun and they went fast. We have to work a bit on the details, our finishes weren't great and our breathing patterns weren't but we have time to correct those things before the big meets.
So we are off to a good start to the year. A little more focus in workout to fix those errors, but we'll get that done for sure.
10 more days until the Without Limits workouts start in earnest. Kristen and Lance have been back in for a few weeks and Cam got back in this past week. Jimmy needs to stop falling over and get that foot fixed so we can get him in the lead pack. Good year has begun. This is gonna be fun.
