Speedo Western Sectionals

So I have dropped off the map for a few days. I was up in Gresham, OR at the Speedo Western Sectional meet. RallySport Aquatics sent 24 swimmers up and arrived with high hopes.

The meet started off on a high note. Good 800 frees and then a couple of smokin 200 Free relays. Nick led off one of them in 23.69 and Siobhan led off the women's in 27.42 qualifying for the short course Junior national meet in December. Ailey was 27.7 and just missed that cut as well.

The meet rolled on and the returning college swimmers scored point after point unshaved and unrested and the relays were powerhouses. Rin Isobe made the December meet as well and just missed nationals with a 2:27.95 200 breast. Matt Bisping qualified for Nationals with a 1:07.11 100 breast. Many of the girls battled through sickness to rally and acheive many best times and the boys were rewarded for their hard wok this summer with great swims as well.

When the dust sttled the men's team was 4th and the women's team 10th. That is the highest men's finish ever for rallySport Aquatics. The combined team came 5th, again the highest finsh by a Rally team.

Now off to Juniors and US Open. We just need to get healthy
