Nutrition on the Today Show

It truly is amazing the advice they give out on shows like the Today show. They bring on an "expert" and we are treated to their opinion. I'm not saying that these people are not experts in their field, but if they are a nutritionist we are treated to their opinion. Furthermore, they are forced to look at the whole population and try and give nutritional advice. None of it applies to Athletes.

"If you are not a morning person, then don't worry about eating much." Are you kidding me? Furthermore, I would like to lose 5 pounds. Her advice was to take weight and multiply by 10. In other words, I need to eat 1800 calories a DAY? I would fall over.

If you are an athlete. Especially a teenage athlete, please do not listen to any of this. PLEASE! Call a nutritionist, who has experience with athletes and teenage athletes.
