Remembering the point.

I tried to teach breeze to skate these last couple of days. We went to the park and then to Eldora on Sunday. The last couple experiences I have had trying to teach Breeze directly have been at times rocky. In the pool i had Rob and Jonathan's help, on the bike, my brother and others. However, skiing was all me. Now, I feel I am a good coach, but the closer I am to someone the harder it is. Breeze and I are close.

I have remembered something lately. i actually blogged about it the other day. Oh yeah, this is not about me. It's about helping her. So, I smiled, I took my time and I wasn't upset if she wasn't doing it right. Sounds basic right? You try it. haha, Harder than it looks. It has worked pretty well though. She is a pretty great athlete, for a cheerleader.

It was really good in the long run though. We had a ridiculous workout this afternoon at RallySport Aquatics. We had 90 minutes and were able to get 3k of kicking in. And guess what I did, I cheered, not yelled but cheered. It worked. Shocker. Should know better by now, shouldn't I?

Here was the main set, product of the mind of Jorge...

1 x 100 1:35 fast kick
1 x 75 1:25 fast kick
2 x 50 fast kick 1:15
1 x 100 easy swim 2:00
4 times.

The a fin kick set.

Then the boys went for at dryland.
20 jump ropes
10 med ball wall throws
40 bikes (abs)
5 side med ball throws each sides
5 side lunges each side
as many cycles as possible in 20 minutes.
Alex, Eric, RIn and Jake rolled 14 cycles of that. No bad huh?
