Carroll Comp, BBTri and cycling and Apex

It was a big week for Neal and I and Apex Coaching this week. The team launch for the Breeze Bars U-25 Professional Tri team was Wednesday and then the BCSM Team night was Thursday. I also led my first Powermax class up at the Center on Wednesday. Also Breeze Bar was at the team launch for the Primal Pro Women's Cycling Team last night.

I led my first class on Wednesday. Apex has so many elite athletes now that we had to break up our Wed 1:30 group into two. Many of the younger guys are going to come in with me at 10 am from now on. This Wednesday was the first class and we did the 10k TT on the CompuTrainers. I had Jessie Goodrich, Mac Cassin and Breeze in there with me and we got at it. Breeze had her best effort at 20:20 and held 180 watts, Jesse around 16:20 and Mac and I had a ding-dong battle going for all 15 min. I was able to come by him on the last hill and posted my second fastest time, 15;09. Mac was 15:11. I think I held around 355 watts.

2 hours later we were back at BCSM. The 1:30 group was doubling as the team launch for the Breeze Bars Tri team. Allen and Flora rode the TT and Allen Krughoff did photos and videos of them, the gear and Neal. It was pretty fun. I did the TT again and watched Scott Tietzel crush it in 14:28. Thankfully, he couldn't get my .2 mile flying sprint time and my 20.6 (979 watts) still held as the Center record. We had our gear from Oakley, First Endurance, Breeze Bars, Mix 1 and Carroll Composites there. Donovan had sent special yellow logo wheels and a King Louie T shirt for me. Later in the day he told us he was going to provide bikes for the team as well in 2011. I cannot emphasis what a great company Carroll is. Great wheels and bikes at unreal prices. When you go to buy, tell him Grant and the Breeze Bars team sent you. They will treat you right.

We had the BCSM team night on Thursday where I got my Shimano parts for the new Specialized Tarmac and I got my Vic's/peerless team clothes for 2011. I am pretty excited for the road season and got more excited yesterday when Neal beat Taylor Phinney in a training ride sprint posting 1600+ watts. Can't wait to lead THAT out.

On Saturday night Breeze and I went out to the Open House for the Primal Pro Women's Racing Team. They are a regional pro cycling team that we are sponsoring for the 2011 season. These girls are awesome. They are super nice and so excited to be racing for this team in 2011. We met all the girls and gave them their first boxes of product for the season. Hopefully, they liked it. Women's cycling is close to Breeze and my hearts and we are committed to supporting the sport as it grows around the world so this team is a great start.

Whew, a busy week no doubt. Next week I head to the Austin Grand Prix swim meet. Hopefully, I can meet up with Garrett Weber-Gale as Breeze is guest blogging for him this month. also, going to get him some bars. Hopefully RACE can have some great swims as well.
