I wanted to take a minute and let you in on my favorite day of the week, Wednesday. It's a busy one, but it goes by fast and always infused with the people I enjoy most in life.
4:25 am my alarm goes off. Much to the dismay of the cat and Breeze I hit snooze.
4:30 I'm up and at em. The cat usually joins me for a snack before I am out the door at 4:42. She goes back to bed, I am off to the Rally pool.
4:50 Unlock the gate at Rally and take the covers off both pools as the kids file in.
5:00 Practice starts. It's a speed workout so always fun. Today the main set was this...
4 x 125 3rd length 90% last length fast 2:00
4 x 100 2nd length 90% last length fast 1:40
4 x 75 first length 90% last length fast 1:20
4 x 50 last length fast 1:00
4 x 25 fast :40
Fun, right
6:30 off to get coffee at Red Rick Coffee House and then back to the office for work or stuff like this.
8:00 RACE Triathlon group. Cam Dye, Broski, Will, Breeze, Erin, etc come in for their own speed workout. Sometimes it is similar to the RACE swim team's workout, like today, sometimes it is completely different.
9:30 done and changed and on my way to BCSM
10:00 lead a power max class in the Cycling Studio of BCSM. Usually composed of the Apex athletes that Neal and I coach. 2 hours of fun and pain.
12-1:30 lunch, work, whatever. Today I have a lesson at 12:30 until 1. At least a bit of a break.
1:30 back to BCSM for power max class #2. Sometimes I ride, sometimes not, but some of my athletes are there. Neal normally runs it, but on a day like today when he is out of town, its me again.
3;15ish out the door and back to Rally
3;30 RACE afternoon workout. Usually, IM or non-free work. We will try and go around 6k with a good dose of speed.
5;30 RACE black group. Our second Senior group. JD runs the workout and I help either there or inside or I do admin work in the office.
6:30-7 home.
Not bad, right. almost 4 hours on the bike and 6+ hours on the pool deck. Gotta say, I love this day. Always busy, always around my favorite people and home in time to have dinner with my lovely fiancee.
