Cross racing

How did you guys like it?
Kristen, Breeze, Lance and Tony all did their first cross races of their lives in the last two weeks.

Breeze and Kristen were big fans. Kristen didn't love the off and on and the single track corners, she is after all a swimmer. Breeze was Breeze. "That was great, I loved it" Then again she loves all of this stuff. They did great though, they were 15th and 16th. that's pretty awesome in the open women's race.

Tony, 75 psi is a little high. Like a lot high. Tony was out about 23 corners, or at least 4, and tasted some dirt. He was up there early and was the man. Thank god he is built like me. He can take it.

Lance, it was an adventure. this is a different kind of pain. The barriers were tripping him up and the sand was grabbing his wheels. However, Lance was tough and battled through to the finish.

Me? Wel I thought this was the week. i got the bike ready to go, thought I had the body over the sickness and I was going to get those guys. After lap 4 I was in the pack and then I popped. Sure the fact that the shifter hood was bent and I could not brake coming down those hills and the fact that I had finished a course of antibiotics two days before didn't help, but I was there. And I popped. I hate that. I am going to have to get in shape for next year. I hate being off the back.

Oh yeah, someone put their bike down on my leg in the first sand pit. Nice chain ring mark on my left leg. The middle slash was a bit deep and by that I mean really deep. 9 stitches later and I am patched up, but no waterr in Zflorida for me.
