Well that was a whirlwind. The RallySport Aquatics team is finishing up a stretch of 3 championship meets in less than 3 week. We started at Winter Champs in Florida with 15 of the guys and left with a new sectional qualifier and 3 new cuts. Not to mention the team was 12th at Flordia Gold Coast's Winter Championship with only 1/6 of the team. Not too shabby.
Pineapple Championships was next in Arvada and with nearly the entire squad in attendance, we did not disappoint. A fourth place finish, 3 new sectional qualifiers and 8 new cuts. That's a meet.
At Junior Nationals Sophie is swimming great and going best times after a very limited training season.
It is time for this team to take the next step. We have 18 Sectional qualifiers on a team of 80 kids of all ages. That's practically 1/4 of the team. Half of those kids aren't even 12 yet. RACE now needs to become a National level team and it needs to be lead by those 18 Sectional qualifiers. I think it is a possibility to have 9 kids at this Junior National meet from RallySport next year. That would be a feat.
As for Without Limits, Lance swam the mile at Pineapple and was 15 seconds faster than Loveland. Not bad for a guy that barely finished workout on Monday. Jimmy is back being consistent and Kristen is just a stud. I mean this girl is gonna scare people this year. It'll be fun to watch.
