Had a little fun this morning at the sprint workout.
For the first time this season we introduced a little speed.
8 x 25 perfect, 3 fast, perfect, 3 fast :30
100 easy
6 x 50 1 perfect, 1 build, 2 fast, 1 reverse build, 1 perfect 1:00
100 easy
4 x 100 perfect, build to last 50 fast, 50 fast, 50 reverse build, 1 perfect. 1:30
100 easy
then a circuit of cordz, fins and starts.
Too easy right. Try it sometime and truly go all out on the fast. Then tell me its easy. if it still is, you are not going fast enough. Swimming is about 1-5 minutes of effort. It is not an endurance sport. The distance guys and the triathletes don't need speed though. Yeah right, find me a kenyan marathoner who doesn't have speed.
Meanwhile, I think I have what's his name's disease. I drove all the way to the pain cave this morning to do the computrainer workout and had brought the wrong bad. No shoes, no shorts, no workout. Had to drive home and back, 30 minutes round trip to get the stuff. Needless to say I missed the warmup. Ugly, ugly workout. Not what I was hoping for. I even put the bag in front of the dorr. I mean I stepped OVER it on my way out the door and still forgot it. I wasn't even on the phone. Sometimes I worry.
Oh yeah and my Dad called and asked me "your Mom and I are trying to plan our lives. When is your wedding?" Really Dad? Really?
The really sad thing is I had an answer.
