Now those of you who read this with regularity (are there any of you out there?) will have to endure this from time to time, but there are some people who deserve some love. Without these people, I would not have anything to write about.
RallySport
Denny DiPaula and Erin Carson have taken a chance on me several times in my 9 years at Rally. Hopefully, I have rewarded them for those chances. However, it needs to be said that without them RallySport Aquatics, Without Limits Racing and my career as an athlete and coach would have never gotten off the ground.
Cam, Lance, Kristen and Jimmy
For some reason, there are many in Boulder and the country who feel that a swim coach with the reputation as a sprint guy has no idea how to coach triathletes. These four have rarely if every doubted me and have allowed me the opportunity to be a part of their lives and their successes for some cases for over 9 years. Thank you for that fait, I hope I have repayed it.
Breeze Brown
For her love and support in the hard times, but that is our business. What you all need to know is that without her I would still be in the Clydesdale division. Although I may still be. With her nutritional guidance and patience, I am rarely sick, always ready and quite healthy.
Neal Henderson and BCSM
I cannot even begin to speak to the time and energy that Neal gives us for very little in return. If you have the want or the ability to work with Neal and this group, i can say from experience that there is no finer group in the country for your athletic needs. I have been around and coached many National level swimmers and seen their support staff and they pale in comparison to what I have at my disposal. Considering I am half the athlete that many of them were, I cannot describe how fortunate I am. It's been a blast to go fast again 6 years after leaving pro triathlon. I know I am better now than I was then. Thanks guys.
Our sponsors
To Specialized, BCSM, Mix My Granola, Shimano and Zeal, thanks for seeing the value in a small team not comprised completely of athletes. To recognizing that personal interactions can mean as much as results and for taking the time to know your athletes.
You will all hear this again...and again and again, but I am truly fortunate to work with these people and to have their support.
